Capture the wonder of Chester Zoo through a camera lens! Our Early Access Bird Experience allows you to take picture-perfect photographs, without the usual crowds.
You’ll have early, uninterrupted access to bird habitats across the zoo from 8:
Take a breather after a hectic couple of hours of exploring the zoo in our ‘zen’ Rock Garden; with a waterfall feature, pond, rippling streams and a splash of colourful plants.

Embark on our off road adventure and let the kids take to the wheel of our all-electric miniature 4x4s and bugz. Tackle rough terrain and learn to steer and navigate our custom-built track.
All participants must have a ticket for the zoo or a valid membership card.
Growing in our Enrichment Garden you’ll find herbs, flowers, leaves and fruit which will be given to a variety of wildlife, like primates, parrots and tortoises.
Over 1500 cacti We have more than 1500 individual species of cacti at the zoo.
Fossas are the LARGEST carnivores in Madagascar. Secretive and cat-like, these predators are well equipped for chasing down lemurs in the forest.
