The Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) established the GEM Centre in 2013 to develop, document and disseminate models of good practice related to different aspects of education. This includes assessment, as well as other areas of policy and practice that can contribute to improved learning outcomes. The GEM Centre supports the development of educational initiatives especially within the Indo-Pacific region, but also more widely including Africa, South America, and various parts of Central, South and East Asia. It is a collaboration between ACER and the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), overseen by a Board.

„Riberdis (Repositorio IBERoamericano sobre DIScapacidad) is an Iberian-American repository for literature on disability. It summarizes and disseminates the scientific production generated in Latin America and Spain on subjects related to disability, in a digital format and in free access. Riberdis is managed by the Spanish Centre for Disability Documentation (CEDD), dependent on the Royal Board of Trustees on Disability (autonomous body attached to a Spanish Ministry). The main objective of Riberdis is contributing to a better dissemination and an easier access to knowledge through the organization, preservation and dissemination of contents related to disability. The repository contents are grouped in thematic communities and into geographic subunits.
