This web site describes the policy area Lifelong Learning of the European Commission and provides links to two basic documents: „Making a European Area of Lifelong Learning a Reality“ and the „Resolution on lifelong learning“ von 2002.

The association describes itself as a common, regional, academic environment of cultural, educative, technological and scientific cooperation. Mainly, its objectives are promotion of scientific research, academic further education, knowledge transfer into the societies of the member countries. The homepage provides further information about current, upcoming and carried out activities; a link list of universities in the region; structure, statutes and financing of the association; academic mobility; documents and publications.

The mission of the portal is described as follows: „With links to over 4, 000 distance learning opportunities, fellowship programs, courses for the ongoing professional development of teachers and other related sites of interest, the Educational Portal encourages students, researchers, educators and all adult populations to improve their knowledge from the convenience of their own homes or offices, and at their own pace.“ The homepage gives access to these mentioned items. The „distance learning and program database“ enables the precise search of specific courses.

This organization promotes the cooperation of the universities in the West Central region of South America. The web site provides information about the organizational structure, administrative bodies, statutes, activities and programs, documents and other publications of the council and a link list of the member universities.

This website provides information texts of various kinds about problems of vocational training in the two Americas. Thematic areas are: labour competencies; quality management; youth, training and employment; women, training and work; trade unions and training. Publications of CINTERFOR and related links are also presented.

The area orientation website (Landeskundiche Informationsseite/ LIS) on Bolivia is one out of more than 30 profiles provided by the preparatory institution for development co-operation (V-EZ) of the InWEnt together with four partner institutions. Structured texts have been elaborated as an information source for experts who prepare themselves for an assignment to work in the respective country. However educational information is not the focal point of these pages. Explicitly it exists only in brief or implicitly imbedded in this comprehensive overview. Since the observation and interpretation of educational processes requires a solid knowledge of the socioeconomic conditions of the country concerned, this „area orientation“ is highly recommended. It comprises the following issues: Country Overview; State and Policy; Economy and Development; Culture and Society; Supplementary Facts and Information.
