OportUnidad sollte „bottom up“ Ansätze (also von der Basis/Praxis aus) in OER und OEP (Open Educational Practices) in Europa und Lateinamerika untersuchen, um diese Ansätze vor allem in Lateinamerika zu fördern. Hauptergebnis des Projekts ist ein dreisprachiges Compendium mit Fallstudien („OER – Cases from Latin America and Europe in Higher Education“), das die Webseite online zur Verfügung stellte.
