The Museum’s collection contains approximately seventy-five thousand photographs spanning the entire history of the medium, including five hundred photographically illustrated books and albums. Almost all of these are eligible for firsthand inspection. Researchers may also consult materials from the Walker Evans Archive in the Study Room. The Study Room for Photographs is accessible to qualified researchers by appointment and with proper identification.
