SIO (‚Stichting Internationaal Onderwijs‘) supports initiatives designed to raise the standards of international education in the Netherlands. It acts as liaison between schools and parents. The AWTI advises the Government and the Parliament on policies related to scientific research, technological developments and innovation. Knowledge, research and innovation are important for all policy areas. In spite of this, the AWTI mainly relates to the areas dominated by the minister of Education, Culture and Science (science policy) and Economic Affairs (innovation policy). EP-Nuffic formed in 2015 out of a fusion of the organisations Nuffic (founded in 1952) and EP (founded in 1990). Nuffic and EP respectively supported internationalisation in higher education and in primary and secondary education. Now, EP-Nuffic provides detailed information on internationalisation in all spheres of education. The European Agency for Development in Special Needs Education provides national overviews of special needs education in numerous European countries. The information includes the following topics: legal system, financing, identification of special educational needs, special needs education within the education system, teacher training, – basic and specialist teacher training, development of integration/ inclusion, quality indicators.
Eurydice (formerly Eurypedia and Eurybase) is a network of national units based in all countries of the Erasmus+ programme. [Its] task is to explain how education systems are organised in Europe and how they work. Eurydice publishes descriptions of national education systems, comparative reports devoted to specific topics, indicators and statistics, as well as news and articles related to the field of education.
