As a National Body for Vocational Education in the Netherlands, ECABO is responsible for the content of senior secondary vocational education, in eight categories: secretarial work, company administration, commercial work, logistics, automation, legal work, information services, security. ECABO draws up the attainment targets for examinations in senior secondary vocational education ( MBO) courses. In addition, ECABO recruits and approves apprenticeship businesses for professional practice training. The third core task is to evaluate the examinations set by educational institutions.
