Senat der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft formuliert neue Regeln. Der Senat der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft hat in seiner Sitzung am 19. März 2010 in Wolfsburg die „Hinweise und Regeln der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft zum verantwortlichen Umgang mit Forschungsfreiheit und Forschungsrisiken“ verabschiedet.

Am 26. Februar 2018 begeht die Max-Planck-Gesellschaft (MPG) ihr 70. Gründungsjubiläum. Bei den recht turbulenten Anfängen der heute größten außeruniversitären Wissenschaftsorganisation Deutschlands spielten neben Meinungsverschiedenheiten der Besatzungsmächte auch der lange Schatten der Vorgängerorganisation, der Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gesellschaft, eine Rolle.
