Das PGK-Forschungsteam untersucht die kurz- und langfristigen Wirkungen von Cash-for-Work (CfW) Programmen in Jordanien hinsichtlich sozialer Sicherung und wirtschaftlicher Inklusion, Infrastrukturentwicklung sowie sozialer Kohäsion zwischen syrischen Flüchtlingen und jordanischer Aufnahmegesellschaft. Ziel ist es, die Voraussetzungen zu identifizieren, unter denen CfW Programme im Kontext von Flucht und Migration sowie Rekonstruktion gewinnbringend eingesetzt werden können.

Dieses Forschungsprojekt untersucht die Rolle der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit und Mittelzuweisung aus Geberperspektive. Vor dem Hintergrund der 2030 Agenda werden sich Verteilungsmuster und Vergabeentscheidungen anpassen und Reformen formuliert werden müssen. Eine stärkere Evidenz-Orientierung kann die Wirkung entwicklungspolitischer Maßnahmen verbessern. Diese Herausforderungen werden aus entwicklungsökonomischer Sicht unter Einbeziehung der politischen Ökonomie unter besonderer Berücksichtigung von Deutschland und Frankreich betrachtet.
