This information on the vocational education systems and the belonging politics, research and praxis of the EU member countries plus Iceland and Norway are provided by ETV ( European Training Village) and CEDEFOP (reference centre in topics of vocational education). Information is available in German, English and the languages of the EU member countries. A thematic overview on 11 topics is offered, where you first have to choose one topic before you can get country specific information on it. The topics are 1) general political context, 2) policy development, 3) institutional framework, 4) initial vocational education, 5) continuing vocational education, 6) training teachers and trainers, 7) competence development and innovative pedagogy, 8) validation of learning, 9) counselling for learning, career and employment, 10) financing, 11) European and international dimensions, lifelong learning.

This association is made up of 15 organizations whose composition differs: centralized/decentralized; public/private; dedicated to vocational training only/covering both employment and vocational training.- This website reflects the efforts of EVTA to support the exchange of information and experiences in the field of advising and vocational training. It explains the joint actions of its members. Quality assurance is one of the core elements in the activities in the EVTA network. In working groups and European projects EVTA works on the implementation of ECVET in concrete sectors, on the experimentation with EQF, on the improvement of the quality and quantity of mobility of students and workers and on the improvement of competence management of trainers.
