Die Vereinigung für Lehrerbildung in Europa wird das EU-Projekt „Verbreitung der europäischen Dimension in der Lehrerbildung“: Arbeitsseminare für Experten in Bildung und Ausbildung“ umsetzen und durch die Organisation von entsprechenden Veranstaltungen auf nationaler und internationaler Ebene ein Netzwerk schaffen und entwickeln. Das Hauptanliegen des Projekts ist die Verbreitung von Know-how und Verfahren bei der Entwicklung und Durchführung von europäischen Projekten auf dem Gebiet der Lehrerbildung. Die Ziele sollen insbesondere durch die Organisation von 14 Arbeitsseminaren in den europäischen Mitgliedstaaten und durch eine integratives Seminar in Brüssel erreicht werden, wo die wichtigsten Beispiele erfolgreicher praktischer Anwendung gesammelt werden. Die Resultate der Arbeit werden auf dieser Website veröffentlicht; erste Dokumente sind bereits aufgelegt worden.

Das ALICE-Projekt (America Latina Interconectada Con Europa) wurde 2003 gestartet, um das RedCLARA-Netzwerk zu entwickeln, das eine IP-Forschungsnetzwerkinfrastruktur in Lateinamerika und hin zu Europa zur Verfügung stellt. Es wurde von DANTE verwaltet und zu 80% von der Europäischen Kommission gegründet. Neben 4 europäischen hatte es 19 lateinamerikanische Partner inklusive des lateinamerikanischen Forschungs- und Bildungsnetzwerkverbandes CLARA. Das ALICE-Projekt führte zur Schaffung von RedCLARA; das erste regionale lateinamerikanische Forschungs- und Bildungsnetzwerk, das 12 lateinamerikanische NRENs verknüpft und eine Verbindung nach Europa und anderen Regionen anbietet. Das ALICE-Projekt wurde bis zum 31. März 2008 weitergeführt, statt im Mai 2006 beendet zu werden. Seitdem waren die Mitgliedsstaaten von CLARA verantwortlich für die Erhaltung der Organisation und der regionalen lateinamerikanischen Infrastruktur. Die Verbindung nach Europa und anderen Regionen wurde 2008 durch Kostenteilung der verschiedenen Partner aufrecht erhalten.

Das 2005 gegründete Zentrum für Forschung zum Lebenslangen Lernen wurde von der Generaldirektion für Bildung und Kultur der Europäischen Kommission eingerichtet, um Expertisen auf dem Gebiet der indikator-basierten Evaluation und des Monitoring von Bildungs- und Berufsbildungssystemen sammeln zu können. D.h. eine wesentliche Aufgabe des Forschungszentrums ist es, Indikatoren zu entwickeln, auf Grundlage derer die Fortschritte der Bildungssysteme im Hinblick auf die EU-Bildungsziele überprüft werden. Auf der Eingangsseite wird erklärt, welche Disziplinen zum interdisziplinären Forschungsansatz gehören. Es gibt Links zum Arbeitsprogramm und den Publikationen und Veranstaltungen. Besonders interessant ist die Rubrik „Links“, die eine umfangreiche Sammlung an Akteuren aus dem Bereich Bildung und Bildungsforschung enthält.

The Centre for Research on Lifelong Learning (CRELL) was established in 2005 in order to provide expertise in the field of indicator-based evaluation and monitoring of education and training systems and their contribution to the achievement of Community objectives specified in the Lisbon Agenda and more recently in the EU2020 agenda as regards this domain. CRELL combines expertise in the fields of economics, econometrics, education, social sciences and statistics in an interdisciplinary approach to research. CRELL is sponsored by the European Commission Directorate General Education and Culture (DG EAC) and co-ordinated by the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission (DG JRC).

Information is available in German, English and the languages of the EU member countries. A thematic overview on 11 topics is offered, where you first have to choose one topic before you can get country specific information on it. The Austrian Competence Centre for Languages is a special field institute for innovation in the domain of language learning. It pursues actual developments in the politics and didactics of language and collaborates for this purpose in international boards. The website includes the working areas of the Competence Centre, among others the implementation of the European Council´s advices for politics of language and a ressource centre for autonomous language learning. Furthermore it offers a comprehensive publication list (with online documents), a link list and a download area with full texts on the subject of language learning.
