For 28 years, the Berlin Wall divided east and west Germany. On 9 November 1989, it fell, after which nothing could stop German reunification. Today remnants of the Berlin Wall are found not only in Berlin, but all over Europe and the world. They are both a warning and a symbol of freedom.
