Das im Auftrag des Umweltbundesamtes durchgeführte Vorhaben „KartAL III – Kartierung des Anthropogenen Lagers III“ fokussiert die Verwertungswege und erwarteten Stoffströme von sieben Metallen und ihren Legierungen. Um die Kreislaufwirtschaft durch Urban Mining in Deutschland nennenswert zu verbessern, werden die im Projekt identifizierten Potenziale, Stellgrößen und Handlungsansätze in einem Leitfaden überblicksartig zusammengestellt.

SUMEX is a 36-month project funded by the EC that started on 01.11.2020. The project supports the set-up of a European sustainability framework to improve the permitting procedure along the extractive value chain (prospecting, exploration, extraction, processing, closure, post-closure activities), to guarantee timely decisions, a transparent governmental regulatory regime, appealing financial and administrative conditions and sustainable natural environmental and social conditions. The main mission of SUMEX is to assist policymakers and other stakeholders in seizing this opportunity.

The good practice guidelines on responsible sourcing (RS) in the mobility sector outline outstanding key practices distilled from the RE-SOURCING Project’s research and consultations on the mobility sector. To promote peer learning and increase the uptake of RS practices, this document is of relevance to all actors involved in the mobility sector, especially for lithium-ion batteries, in the EU as well as internationally. Four good practice guidelines are elaborated in this document, with case studies to show how they have been implemented.
