The Councils for the Regional Planning of Higher Education (CPRES) are institutions which unite all actors of Argentinian higher education: National and private universities as well as national and provincial government offices. Thus it is the only horizontal organ of coordination, an authority of exchange of the higher education sector on a regional level. It performs important work as coordination and consulting entity of the system. This makes them the primordial organ regarding the effective communication between higher education institutes and between the higher education sector and institutes of every other level of education. There are CPRES for the Región Metropolitana, the Región Centro Oeste, the Región Centro Este, the Región Noreste, the Región Noroeste, the Región Sur and the Región Bonaerense.

The Institute for Research in Education IRICE was founded in 1977 and is under the control of the Argentinian „National Council for Scientific and Technical Research“ CONICET as well as of the University of Rosario (UNR). The Argentinian Foundation for the Development of Education and Culture (FAPEDEC) is a non-political organisation which was founded in June 1989. Its tasks include the promotion of knowledge about education and competence, the stimulation to sustainable development, the organisation of activities which procure the values of living together, the maintenance of an international, scientific dialogue, the support of research and development of the sciences and the facilitation of the access to innovative material and technology. Furthermore, FAPEDEC fights for total validity of freedom and rights and at the same time for the security of the people.

The „Programme for Studies on Youth, Education and Employment“ PREJET gathers sociologists, researchers in education and labour relations. PREJET does research on educational policy, on different forms of (vocational) training and education, on different players and stakeholders in the field of youth, education and employment, on their experience and on the youths‘ job histories. This website of the National Directorate for Information and Evaluation of Education Quality (DiNIECE) is a structural unit of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. It is responsible for the evaluation of the national education system and renders its contribution to the development of educational information and educational investigations according to the aims and tasks of educational policy. The homepage provides access to extensive resources like educational statistics, thematic information, data bases, international studies and methodological documents.
