The Councils for the Regional Planning of Higher Education (CPRES) are institutions which unite all actors of Argentinian higher education: National and private universities as well as national and provincial government offices. Thus it is the only horizontal organ of coordination, an authority of exchange of the higher education sector on a regional level. It performs important work as coordination and consulting entity of the system. This makes them the primordial organ regarding the effective communication between higher education institutes and between the higher education sector and institutes of every other level of education. PREJET does research on educational policy, on different forms of (vocational) training and education, on different players and stakeholders in the field of youth, education and employment, on their experience and on the youths‘ job histories. The University Association of Interconnective Networks (ARIU) is a joint enterprise of the national universitites and university institutions of the Consejo Interuniversitario Nacional (CIN), which was founded with the purpose to manage the university networks to facilitate the information communication of national universities on the national and the international level and to foster the research on informatics, technology, education and development in the field of ICT.

The Argentinian National Association of Faculties in Humanities and Educational Sciences ANFHE is composed of 42 institutional members from 31 national universities. It was founded in 2004 with the aim of fostering academic cooperation in the Humanities and Educational Sciences. The Institute for Research in Education IRICE was founded in 1977 and is under the control of the Argentinian „National Council for Scientific and Technical Research“ CONICET as well as of the University of Rosario (UNR). The website provides very ample information on the research done at the institute which comprises, among others, the research on teaching, the functioning of educational institutions, the cognitive development f children, sociocognitive processes of learning, virtual learning and research environments, or research in history of education or educational policy.
