It offers educational resources, materials for curriculum subjects and extracurricular applications; forums for teachers as well as on-line training in Spanish for further education. The website provides information about different projects and thematic sectors as violence in school and environmental education.

This brief presentation of the education system in Argentina was taken from the „Wörterbuch der Pädagogik“ (Dictionary of Pedagogy/ Edition 2000) by kind permission of the publishers Taschenbuch Verlag. After providing general information on the country an overview on the education system is given referring to the following areas: educational administration, pre-school education, primary and secondary school education, vocational training, higher education, teacher education, adult education. The Argentinian Society of Education in Mathematics (SOAREM) was founded in 1998. Its objective is the promotion of the pedagocical and professional level of teachers and all who are interested in the fields of education in mathematics. Therefore, SOAREM gives impulses for the development of education research related to mathemtatics, it analyses the networking of mathematical science with other fields, organises and maintains documentation services, data bases and libraries which are open for members and all who are interested, it makes legislative proposals and counsels private as well as public organisms in regard to an improvement of teaching and learning of mathematics on all levels. In addition, SOAREM maintains contacts to other associations of mathematic education and other disciplines as well as an exchange of knowledge and it publishes bulletins, journals, monographies etc.

The „Programme Education“ at the „Centre for the Implementation of Public Policies for Social Equity and Growth“ CIPPEC aims at doing research and consulting for more justice in the educational system of Argentina. Among others, the Programme Education participated in the international MAPEAL project, a project that compared the educational policies in 7 Latin American countries based on data from the PISA studies from 2000 to 2012. The Councils for the Regional Planning of Higher Education (CPRES) are institutions which unite all actors of Argentinian higher education: National and private universities as well as national and provincial government offices. Thus it is the only horizontal organ of coordination, an authority of exchange of the higher education sector on a regional level. It performs important work as coordination and consulting entity of the system. This makes them the primordial organ regarding the effective communication between higher education institutes and between the higher education sector and institutes of every other level of education. There are CPRES for the Región Metropolitana, the Región Centro Oeste, the Región Centro Este, the Región Noreste, the Región Noroeste, the Región Sur and the Región Bonaerense.

The Red Nacional de Prácticas y Residencias en la Formción de Docentes is a meeting point for persons and institutions which deal with teacher training. The task of the network is the elaboration of a systematics of exchange of knowledge and expertise which were built in the training institutions as well as in the universities. The RED fosters different alternative information networks, discusses development expertise and stimulates the acquisition, the systematisation and the dissemination of non-documented proposals. Furthermore, it generates democratic spaces of plurality of ideas in which productive criticism is welcome, whereas the cooperation between universities and teacher training institutions is of primordial importance.

Furthermore, FAPEDEC fights for total validity of freedom and rights and at the same time for the security of the people.
