The National Interuniversity Council (CIN) was founded in 1985. Since then, it is the nucleus for the national universities, which joined the organisation voluntarily, according to their autonomy. Thus, the CIN is the coordinative organisation of university politics. The highest authority of the CIN is the plenary of rectors. It gathers every six months for an ordinary session.

The University Extension Network: Univerisities towards the Integration of Frontiers (REUNIF) is a non-profit organisation founded by the Argentinian universities Universidad Nacional de Jujuy and Universidad Nacional de Salta as well as the Bolivian university Universidad Autónoma de Juan Misael Saracho de Bolivia. It is a dynamic network of the universities of Argentina and Bolivia which works cooperatively and in strategic alliance with social partners of the government, with enterprises and with the population. It implements projects which are of use for the extension of the universities and which contribute sustainably and in a global perspective to the integration and the development of spaces of frontiers. The objectives of REUNIF are the fight against poverty and the implementation of a quality education with equal opportunies for the whole population. Furthermore, REUNIF works for the solid integration and a sustainable regional development through the identification, the management and the execution of regional projects relevant for the extension of the universities.

PAKAPAKA – english information

PAKAPAKA is a public education channel of the ministry of education which adresses its program to children of Argentina respectively Latin-America. Its contents orient themselves on education and entertainment and are open for the culture of all sectors of Argentina and other countries. The channel is supported by the knowledge gathered by the child program of Canal Encuentro and wants to expand the realm of the pedagocial and entertaining program. The channel is made for children from 2 to 5 years (franja RONDA) and from 6 to 12. PAKAPAKA works in a network with institutions and other public channels of Latin-America which are active in the field of childhood and audio-visual production.

The „Joint work project of UNGS, ISFD and the middle schools for the improvement of the success in learning“ (PROYART) was founded with the intention to ameliorate the quality of learning of the youth on polymodal level in the fields of mathematics and language. It developed a cooperative work model which connects the activities of the three involved institutions to offer better possibilities for students to learn and to facilitate their access to the labour market and to higher education.

The „National Commission for the Evaluation and Accreditation of Universities“ (CONEAU) recrutes researchers in education and experts from universities in the whole of Argentina to act as evaluators and reviewers. CONEAU’s work also includes quality assurance of research and teaching. The evaluation of more than 40 universities is documented in freely accessible publications (in Spanish) on the CONEAU website (for each university there is a respective publication). Moreover, you can find two fulltext publications on quality in higher education „Calidad en la Educación Superior” – 2015) and on the Argentinian higher education system („La CONEAU y el Sistema Universitario Argentino“ 2011) in English and Spanish.
