Established in 1934, this school served children of emigrants to be taught in a spirit of democracy and freedom based on ideas of Pestalozzi. Today it is a successful bilingual school offering education from kindergarten to the secondary school leaving certificate of Argentine. Teachers of this school are recruited from Argentine and Germany.
The University Network of Distance Learning (RUEDA) was founded on 10th August 1990. Its task is to foster and to develop the adequate application of the resources for distance learning by working on specific educacional problems. Furthermore, it fosters the investigation, experimenting and development of methods and procedures of distance learning as well as the formation, perfection and competence of the members of RUENDA. Also, it organizes meetings for the field of distance learning and establishes strategies regarding the financing. RUENDA serves as information and exchange plat form for productive education programs; it is in charge of educational, political, economical, legal and technical aspects of the network and makes proposals of policies concerning distance learning.
CONADU is the umbrella organisation for all associations of university lecturers at public universities in Argentina. One of their main aims is the support of lecturers‘ rights. Among others, CONADU runs an „Institute for Studies and Skill Enhancement“ – IEC (Instituto de Estudios y Capacitación). The Work Group of German-Argentinian Schools unites institutions with German-Argentinian origins in Argentina which have the objective to offer a qualitative and demanding formation in their schools. The mission statement of each of those schools includes, as a crucial point, the dissemination of the German language as cultural opening, the esteem of the needs of the environment and the promotion of a constant adaptation on institutional perfection.
The National Council on Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) in Argentina was founded in 1958. According to its website, both the organisation of seminars and workshops and the call of research grants are among its activities.
The National Interuniversity Council (CIN) was founded in 1985. Since then, it is the nucleus for the national universities, which joined the organisation voluntarily, according to their autonomy. Thus, the CIN is the coordinative organisation of university politics. The highest authority of the CIN is the plenary of rectors. It gathers every six months for an ordinary session.
The University Extension Network: Univerisities towards the Integration of Frontiers (REUNIF) is a non-profit organisation founded by the Argentinian universities Universidad Nacional de Jujuy and Universidad Nacional de Salta as well as the Bolivian university Universidad Autónoma de Juan Misael Saracho de Bolivia. It is a dynamic network of the universities of Argentina and Bolivia which works cooperatively and in strategic alliance with social partners of the government, with enterprises and with the population. It implements projects which are of use for the extension of the universities and which contribute sustainably and in a global perspective to the integration and the development of spaces of frontiers. The objectives of REUNIF are the fight against poverty and the implementation of a quality education with equal opportunies for the whole population. Furthermore, REUNIF works for the solid integration and a sustainable regional development through the identification, the management and the execution of regional projects relevant for the extension of the universities.
