Die Föderation der Universitätsstudenten Uruguays (FEUU) repräsentiert alle Studenten des Landes, welche an Universitäten studieren. Ihr Entscheidungsorgan ist die „Convención“, welche alle zwei Jahre zusammenkommt und welche sodann über politische und strategische Fragen der FUEE diskutiert sowie ein Exekutivkommittee wählt, welches die Entscheidungen der Convención umsetzt. Die Hauptaufgabe der FUEE ist es, die Rechte der Studenten zu verteidigen und sie gegenüber nationalen sowie internationalen Institutionen und Organisationen zu repräsentieren. Die zwei großen Aktionsfelder der FEUU sind zum einen diese Repräsentation, zum anderen die Entwicklung bzw. Stärkung der akademischen und kulturellen Rechte der Studenten.
