The Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) has been at the forefront of efforts in Africa to promote the education of girls and women. Created in 1992 as a response to the slow pace of implementation of Education For All (EFA) Goals in sub-Saharan Africa and registered in Kenya as a pan African NGO in 1993, FAWE has since grown into a network of 33 National Chapters across sub- Saharan Africa in anglophone, francophone and lusophone countries. The Website provides information about the Forum, its vision/mission, about the different levels of membership, the character of the FAWE National Chapters and the FAWE programmes: advocacy activities, demonstrative interventions (e.g. the Centres of Excellence Programmes), influencing policy replication & mainstreaming, strategic resource planning. The FAWE Newsletter (pdf- files) and a publication list are made available. Links lead to important declarations affecting girls‘ education in Africa and to partner websites.

Das Zentrum GCYDCA hat zum Ziel, Beratung und Jugendentwicklung in Afrika zu fördern und zu institutionalisieren. Das Zentrum wurde 1994 von den Bildungsministern fast aller afrikanischer Länder (49 von 54) als regionales Zentrum in malawi gegründet. Die Webseite scheint leider 2016 zuletzt aktualisiert worden zu sein. Sie bietet einige Infos zu Zielen und Programmen der GCYDCA, bei denen es sich neben Bildung viel auch um soziale und gesundheitliche Beratung im weitesten Sinne handelt. Außerdem bietet die Webseite noch eine Halbjahresbericht der Tätigkeiten des GCYDCA von Juli 2016. Mit Unterstützung des Zentrums wurde 2013 eine African Association for Counsellors (AAC) gegründet. Deren Fokus richtet sich jedoch ausschließlich auf Beratung im (psycho-)therapeutischen Bereich. The Webpage Excel Africa is a website made for students from Africa but also for those who are interested. One can find forums about studying at home and abroad. It is a useful opportunity to exchange knowledge with people all over the globe. The African continent is listed with 14 francophone and one anglophone countries. Furthermore one can also find every regional university and technical college, also those which operate with other universities in different countries. But also questions concerning fees or inscription or the accommodation are discussed in the forums. A registration is needed to find answers or to read the messages which are indicated. **** Excel Africa est un site web des étudiants et des professionnels africains. Sur ce site on trouve des forums concernant les études aux quatre coins du monde. C`est une possibilité de parler aux gens qui ont déjà étudié dans d`autres pays et qui possèdent des experiences. Du côté africain on trouve 14 pays francophones et un anglophone. Toutes les universités régionales et toutes les écoles inter-états sont indiquées et on peut aussi discuter sur les sujets de coûts et d`inscriptions etc. Mais pour avoir accès à tous les messages et à l`information qu`on trouve sur ce site, il faut s`inscrire.

Der Artikel gibt einen kurzen Einblick in die Entwicklung internationaler Politik beim Thema Rechte von Menschen mit Behinderungen, um dann den Fokus auf die politische Entwicklung in Afrika und schließlich in Südafrika zu lenken. Im Artikel enthalten ist auch eine Grafik, die aufzeigt, welche afrikanischen Länder die UN-Behindertenrechtskonvention schon unterschrieben und ratifiziert haben (Stand vermutlich ca. 2012). Der Artikel wurde auf der Webseite eines afrikanischen Beratungsunternehmens veröffentlicht, ist dort jedoch nicht mehr verfügbar.
