The goals of educando are to promote the quality of education through ICT and to offer tools, software, resources etc. to educators, which permit them to work more efficiently and thereby to evolve the possibilities for education of ICT.

The category „Educación e Investigación“ presents general information about „Primary, Secondary & Superior Education“, a list of Dominican universities including information about the subjects as well as links to the homepages of the higher education institutions in „Universities and programs“; furthermore, „Scholarships and Exchanges“ presents information about international programs and funds, and, in „Statistics on Education“, several educational statistics of the years 2008-2009 can be viewed.
Cámbrico is an interactive portal, which functions as data base and search engine for primarily academical information and, therefore, ensures a more qualitative knowledge acquisition. This tool filtres and analyzes in objective and precise search processes in the temporal and geographical context, to find adequate data in all its depth. This project satisfies the prevailing necessity of research in diverse knowledge areas, but is also active for the obejctives of education development and staff formation by searching events in chronological order presenting the result to its members.
The Poveda Cultural Centre is contact partner for the national and international field of teacher formation. It fosters and accompanies the formation process of teachers and researchers in the field of socio-educative exchange. The centre aims for social inclusion and equality through a critical and democratical method. This method considers socio-educative practics with whom, in a discursive and transparent way, new developmental and innovative perspectives are created in the field of education.
The National Institute for Teacher Formation and Competence (INAFOCAM) is a decentralized organ subordinate to the ministry of education. Its function is to coordinate the education offer, the competence, the actualization and the perfection of the educational staff on national level. The INAFOCAM is a counselling agency of the ministry of education in relation to the formulation, the application and the evaluation of policies, careers, education programs and projects, of competence, the improvement and the actualization of the teaching staff prescribed by the Dominican education system on different educational levels and modalities. Its task is furthermore to guarantee the formation of the teaching staff needed by the Dominican education system in an adequate quality and quantity through a system which enables the education demanded by the society through an integral development which raises a claim for ethical, democratical, humanist, critical and equal education.
The Central American Educational Community and the Dominican Republic created an education portal (CEDUCAR), which links eight countries: Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, the Dominican Republic and their respective educational systems. Its purpose is to function as a virtual meeting place for all educators in training and service, where one can stay informed, participate, train and update about educational issues.
