The „Joint work project of UNGS, ISFD and the middle schools for the improvement of the success in learning“ (PROYART) was founded with the intention to ameliorate the quality of learning of the youth on polymodal level in the fields of mathematics and language. It developed a cooperative work model which connects the activities of the three involved institutions to offer better possibilities for students to learn and to facilitate their access to the labour market and to higher education.

National Network of Practics and Residencies of Teacher Training – english information

The Red Nacional de Prácticas y Residencias en la Formción de Docentes is a meeting point for persons and institutions which deal with teacher training. The task of the network is the elaboration of a systematics of exchange of knowledge and expertise which were built in the training institutions as well as in the universities. The RED fosters different alternative information networks, discusses development expertise and stimulates the acquisition, the systematisation and the dissemination of non-documented proposals. Furthermore, it generates democratic spaces of plurality of ideas in which productive criticism is welcome, whereas the cooperation between universities and teacher training institutions is of primordial importance.

This brief presentation of the education system in Argentina was taken from the „Wörterbuch der Pädagogik“ (Dictionary of Pedagogy/ Edition 2000) by kind permission of the publishers Taschenbuch Verlag. After providing general information on the country an overview on the education system is given referring to the following areas: educational administration, pre-school education, primary and secondary school education, vocational training, higher education, teacher education, adult education. A graph showing the basic structure of the education system and additional references to respective publications are offered to complete this short version.- In order to be able to read the pdf-files users need Acrobat Reader.

The conferences may have up to 14 panels, each panel having their own publications, some of which comprise more than 300 pages. Since 2008, 4 conferencens have taken place. The Councils for the Regional Planning of Higher Education (CPRES) are institutions which unite all actors of Argentinian higher education: National and private universities as well as national and provincial government offices. Thus it is the only horizontal organ of coordination, an authority of exchange of the higher education sector on a regional level. It performs important work as coordination and consulting entity of the system. This makes them the primordial organ regarding the effective communication between higher education institutes and between the higher education sector and institutes of every other level of education. There are CPRES for the Región Metropolitana, the Región Centro Oeste, the Región Centro Este, the Región Noreste, the Región Noroeste, the Región Sur and the Región Bonaerense.
